YOuTH AS RESOuRCES (YAR)

Youth As Resources (YAR) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to grant-making, leadership development, institutional change, and community organizing. We elevate youth leadership and decision-making, taking charge of addressing issues that directly impact us, strengthening our communities and institutions.

youth in business (yib)

Youth in Business (YiB) is a program at Jubilee Arts that cultivates the entrepreneurial leadership skills of high school aged youth by providing hands-on experience operating an art-based business. Youth are supported in leadership development within the program in addition to career and higher education planning support to provide youth long term economic independence.

THE CHOICE PROGRAM AT uMBC

The Choice Program at UMBC is a mentoring, diversion, and workforce development program for young people ages 12-24. For more than 35 years, we have served young people and their families in Maryland. Our goal is to eliminate racial and ethnic disparities in the legal, educational and economic systems that prevent young people of color from enjoying childhood, growing through adolescence into adulthood.

BALTIMORE ALGEBRA PROJECT, INC. (BAP)

The Baltimore Algebra Project, Inc. (BAP) is a unique organization that addresses the country's history of racial oppression as it affects young people in Baltimore through educational injustice and resulting economic and political empowerment.

MD YOuTH RIGHTS & SAFETY HuB (YRSH)

The Maryland Youth Rights & Safety Hub (YRSH) is a collaborative space that provides members with communications resources and media training while we work to change and shape the public narrative. We are a communications resource focused on issues related to youth justice, youth rights, and youth safety in Maryland. We provide support to the youth justice and youth serving community, educate decision makers and the general public about crime-related data, and guide efforts to change the media narrative about young people in our state.

The Sentencing Project advocates for effective and humane responses to crime that minimize imprisonment and criminalization of youth and adults by promoting racial, ethnic, economic, and gender justice.
